You have decided that your New Year’s resolution is to lose weight and get in better health. This is a great resolution, and one that many people make each year. You may find that the easy part is now over. You have made the resolution, and now you have to do what you can to stick to it. That is the hard part.
Staying healthy is an important part of losing weight. You don’t want to go about this the wrong way. Some people think that to lose weight, they need to be at the gym all day, every day, and that they should cut back on what they eat. This is not true. Instead of cutting back what you eat, take a good long look at exactly what you are eating. Making sure that you gets the right foods, and therefore the right vitamins and minerals, is essential to losing weight. For example, choosing to eat Florida oranges for breakfast will give you a good dose of Vitamin C. This is a much healthier choice than choosing a fast food breakfast.
It may seem counter-productive for some, but you want to make sure that you are eating about six meals through the day. These should be smaller meals, and packed full of vitamin- and mineral-rich foods. You will also want to keep an eye on your calories. This does not mean that you should not be eating, though.
There are many foods that you eat on a regular basis that have the vitamins and minerals that you need to stay healthy and lose weight. Red meat gives you protein and iron, and milk and other dairy products help keep up your calcium and Vitamin D intake.
Keeping healthy and losing weight are important for many people in our world today. If this has not been a priority before, you may find that it is quickly becoming a priority for you.
