Whether you are bored at the gym or sick and tired of your at-home treadmill routine, there are a lot of things you can do to make your workouts exciting.
1. Go for a walk with a friend. Put on your tennis shoes and call your friend. Exercising with someone else can be more productive and fun. Hit the park together or if it’s too cold – go to the mall. Whatever you do, stay focused on exercise, and set a date to do it again.
2. Use the medicine ball. Medicine ball is different from dumbbells and can be more versatile for certain exercises. Also, because you have to grip and balance it differently, it can be more effective in blasting fat and strengthening you. Try some new core exercises that involve the use of medicine ball you won’t be bored.
3. Sign up for Zumba or Jazzercise class. You will blast more calories than ever and work the muscles you didn’t know you had. Both of these workouts are a lot of fun, too. You will feel happy and energized.
4. Buy new workout DVDs or DVD sets. There is a variety of instructional exercise DVDs on the market, training you to do everything from hip-hop dancing to getting ripped. DVDs are fun because you are directed and you don’t feel alone. Also, there is a specific time you are expected to work out, so you will be less likely to slack.
5. Use exercise bands. Exercise bands provide a fun and effective workout. Look for online instructions on how to add a more challenging twist to working out with exercise bands.
Adding variety to your workouts will not only keep you sane, but also boost your fitness level and speed your weight-loss. Adding new exercises will challenge both your muscles and your will. If you don’t know where to start, visit fittness-oriented websites and check out various workout videos.
